apt-get or aptitude?

As a Debian user and a visitor of free software forums and mailinglists, I often see the debate of apt-get or aptitude appear. I have found this post on another blog which is really interesting, and well worth linking from here.

  1. I completely agree. Package maengemant on Debian-based distros is the best, which is why I have used them since Debian Woody. Just one correction, aptitude is a front-end to the APT tool, much like APT is a front-end to dpkg.Take care!
